Health Benefits of Paintball

August 10, 2022 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

Health Benefits of Paintball

Cross fit, of F45, kick boxing, they all lead to #gains.

How do they compare to a game of action and strategy?

Our friends over at health fitness revolution know all about getting healthy, and they’ve realised a great way to get fit and have fun: Paintball.

Here’s what they have to say about the health benefits of paintball.

It’s an intense game, considering the fact that you’re armed with a mask, ammunition and a paintball marker, but paintball is actually a fun, interactive way to build teamwork and get some exercise. Of course, the paintball gun is loaded with gelatine shells filled with a type of paint that marks a person or object when hit, so it’s an experience that will leave you covered in colour!

Samir Becic, 4 times Number 1 Fitness Trainer in the world and HFR’s Top 10 Health Benefits of Paintball:

  • Adds variety to regular routine:
Paintball is a great activity for those who do not have time to hit the gym or want to do something active with friends. It’s also a great way to shake things up and get an intense exercise routine outside of your normal workout. If you’re looking for an alternative activity to escape the monotonous motions of a treadmill, paintball allows players to experience a full range of movements like running, climbing, ducking and tip-toeing behind enemies.
  • Full body workout:
Paintball involves crawling, diving, sprinting, dodging and shooting. Because the game is so fast paced and strategic, many players get so caught up in the action they don’t even realize how the body is benefiting. People who have difficulty sticking to a workout routine often claim motivation and boredom as the primary reasons. Paintball offers participants a more enjoyable way to tone up their body without ever having to even think about it as exercise.
  • Increases endurance:
When you play paintball you experience an incredible cardiovascular workout that boosts your endurance levels because of the extended amount of time spent on the field.
  • Increases strength:
Paintball will require you to be fast while lugging around a paintball gun and with all the safety gear. The main areas strengthened during paintball are the legs from running and squatting, the arms from shooting, and the core for stabilization of the body with all the equipment.
  • Increases interpersonal skills and self-confidence:
Paintball is primarily a team sport, which requires some amount of strategy and execution that can be done only when all the players work together as a team. It promotes team spirit and can also improve your leadership skills. Tense situations in the game often bring out the best in many players and boost their self confidence.
  • Good for weight loss and overall health:
Needless to say, paintball also aids in weight loss. The intense exercise gained from a session of paintball can improve sleep cycles and boost metabolism. Intense workouts also result in the release of endorphins that elevate your mood. Apart from burning more calories, regular exercise through paintball also reduces risk of heart diseases, blood pressure and depression.
  • Major stress relief:
Playing a rough game of paintball is one of the best ways to vent out your frustration without risking hurting others. Sometimes, venting your anger in the game can also help you improve your skills as a paintballer. The endorphins released during intense exercise also eliminate mental stress and bring a sense of calm.
  • Promotes teamwork:
Good teamwork is essential in paintball – your team must work together to make strategies and plans, and then be able to coordinate them. If you’re lacking a bit of teamwork in your office, why not arrange a day out with your colleagues and put yourselves to the test?
  • It’s healthy to be outdoors:
Working out outdoors actually boosts your mood, outlook, focus and immunity. According to a study from the University of Michigan, group nature walks are linked to enhanced mental health and positivity, as well as significantly lower levels of depression and feelings of stress. A study from Glasgow University showed that people who walked, biked, or ran in nature had a lower risk of poor mental health than people who worked out indoors.
  • It’s fun!
Finally, who can say that having a bit of fun isn’t one of the major health benefits of paintball? The rush of adrenaline sparked by just running around and shooting opponents with paintballs brings back the inner child in us. Full of laughter and excitement, paintball makes a truly brilliant day out with friends.

There you have it! Paintball is an awesome way to get fit, and have fun doing it. Who knows, if you have a friend you want to help on their fitness journey, maybe paintball is the place to start?

Bucks Days at Delta Force Paintball

Bucks days at Delta Force Paintball

A bucks day he’ll never forget.

It’s almost your mate’s special day.

He’s gonna tie the knot soon.

And you’re the man who is meant to plan the best send off possible.

What better way to send your stag off than to dress him up and send him out with a paintball gun and a few of his best mates?

Paintball is the perfect activity to get the boys geared up for a night of dubious choices and some stories you’d rather forget.

Here’s how a day at Delta Force Paintball looks for a bucks party.

You can book by calling one of our event coordinators at any time of the day. They are available 24/7 and will help you plan everything to give your stag the best send off possible.

On the day you’ll arrive and get kitted up by our marshals. Here’s the chance to get you stag all dressed up in one of our Onesies, or you could all wear your own costumes. We recommend you all buy a group pack (you don’t want to run out of paintballs when the stag is on the loose!). Don’t forget to let the marshals know who the guest of honour is; they’ll give him some special treatment!

From here you’ll have a safety briefing, and then it’s time for battle!

Of course you’ll have breaks in between games, where you can rehydrate (sorry, no alcohol), and refuel for the next match. You can order pizzas for the group for lunch, or bring your own food. We recommend bringing plenty of water; you don’t want the stag getting dehydrated!

Your action packed day will see your squad battle it out in pyramids, black hawk helicopters and sniper towers, and will be a day the stag will never forget.

MUCHEA BACK IN ACTION (AND BETTER THAN EVER!)

April 27, 2021 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

After biding our time in lockdown upgrading our centres with thrilling new game zones, the time has finally come for Delta Force to reopen our doors to the public!

Come one, come all – newbies and veterans alike, first-time thrill-seekers and seasoned warriors. Delta Force Paintball is thrilled to announce that we are joining the country in emerging from lockdown, and are officially reopening our centres to the paintball-hungry public!

Here at our Muchea centre, we will be marking the reopening post lock down. Our signature Jungle Attack game zone, transports you to an abandoned village in a war-torn jungle, where you must fight to capture the holding points each building provides. The team that controls the most of the village at the end, wins! – Total annihilation reigns in Speedball. Fight amidst the ruins of the world’s oil reserves, until one team is completely eliminated!

With an adherence to our comprehensive new Covid policy, paintballing at one of our centres is the perfect adrenalizing, socially-distanced, outdoors activity to help shake off that lockdown lethargy and get out in the sun with your friends and family. This is a Delta Force Paintball call to arms – will you be there to answer it?

TURN UP THE HEAT

TURN UP THE HEAT

Arm yourself with awareness and check out Delta Force’s top tips for playing safely in the summer.
With summer now well and truly upon us here in Australia, it’s the perfect time to get outside.
and active in the uniquely adrenalizing Delta Force style! As always, customer safety remains our number one priority, and while the excitement of the sun does provide the perfect setting
for a day’s paintball, it does also bring with it some important safety measures we would advise players to observe to ensure they’re properly prepared for the hot conditions. With that in mind, we present Delta Force’s top tips for turning up the heat:

1. Dress for the weather.
With the weather this hot, it’s so important to wear minimal, lightweight clothing for combat like shorts and t-shirts. You’ll still be well protected by our signature body armour or overalls, provided onsite, but too many layers will trap the heat and weigh you down!

2. Eat a warrior’s breakfast.
Fuelling your body for the active day ahead will go such a long way in giving you the battle ready energy you need for your paintball experience. Please make sure you eat well before coming!

3. Stay hydrated.
It is so crucial you stay hydrated throughout your day when running around in the summer heat. Our staff recommend the use of camelbacks or hydration packs to keep on your person during the session, otherwise cold drinks can be bought onsite if you forget to bring your own.

4. Stay informed.
Keep an eye on how the weather’s looking for your paintball adventure – booking the morning session is always a good idea if you want to avoid the peak heat of the day! And of course, our expert staff and marshals will always be onsite to make sure you have the smoothest, most enjoyable day possible. Sun’s out, guns out – see you in the field!

Bonney’s Re-opens!!

August 6, 2020 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

Delta Force Paintball Bonneys centre in Baldivis has reopened!

After several months of isolation, compulsive hand hygiene, too much Uber Eats, new download records on Netflix and trying to get our paintball fix vicariously through the latest Call of Duty iteration we are excited to announce that our Bonneys paintball centre in Baldivis, Perth has officially reopened for paintball.

On Saturday 1st August we welcomed our first paintball enthusiasts back to the centre. We were ‘tools down’ for four months, one week and two days off the back of COVID-19 enforced closures, and after this extended paintball-free period it felt fantastic to send some paintballs flying once more.

We consciously opted for a soft relaunch with extremely limited player numbers. It allowed us to rigorously run through all of our COVID-Safe systems and procedures that we have implemented to adapt to our new post-COVID reality in Perth.

Some of these key changes include:

  • All Delta Force staff have successfully undergone an AHA Hospitality & Tourism COVID-19 Hygiene Course before returning to work.
  • Hand sanitiser is available and located at all key touch points throughout the centre. Upon arrival at the Bonneys centre all staff and guests are required to sanitise their hands.
  • Our equipment is cleaned in accordance with Government-lead directives. We have worked closely with our laundry provider and our chemicals/cleaning products supplier to ensure our cleaning procedures are robust and compliant.
  • We have introduced allocated table seating for all groups and have socially distanced seating areas for all groups.
  • We have adjusted our operational procedures to offer contactless payment, contactless collection of equipment and contactless paintball games. Sadly this means no celebratory high-fives but it is one of the necessary sacrifices.
  • All guns, door handles and shared facilities such as shop counters are disinfected between every single game.
  • We have reduced the number of people on site by operating with shorter, higher intensity sessions rather than exclusively sessions events. This means you get the same amount of paintball action but in less overall time, and it also means that social distancing is significantly easier to achieve.

All of these changes (and more!) are in place to ensure we deliver the same world class paintball experience but with heightened safety and hygiene precautions. Our collective world has been turned upside down and we’re committed to building a better, safer paintball experience moving forward.

For those guests who had existing bookings postponed due to COVID-19 closures, we thank you for your patience during these trying times. We are now open for business and ready to host your next special event. Our phone lines are open with reduced operating hours and capacity – so please call us on 1300 795 336 to make a booking.
